Dhuska is traditional recipe from Jharkhand, India. It is a festival snack and is typically made during Durga Puja and Holi.

Here is an easy recipe of Dhuska from Mukti’s Kitchen, a home cook and food blogger. Hope you will find recipe easy and interesting.

Basmati rice -2 cup
Chana dal – 1 and a half cup
Urad dal – 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds -1/4 tsp
Salt – to taste
Water – as required

Wash and soak rice and dals for 3-4 hours and grind to make a smooth paste with the help of water. The batter should be thick. Now add the cumin seeds and salt. Heat enough oil for deep frying. Now pour one spoon of batter in the oil and cook on medium flame till the color is light brown, then turn it over another side and drain the excess oil in paper napkin.Serve hot with mutton or chickpeas curry.
