How to Stay Cool in This Harsh Summer!

Attention, people of India! This summer is not just hot; it's harsh and merciless. Staying cool is no longer just about fashion and comfort; it's about survival and health.
Sunscreen is not just a trend; when you go out in the sun without protection, you damage your skin with UVA and UVB rays. In the summer, UVB rays become stronger, leading to skin problems ranging from tanning to skin cancer. Protect yourself by joining the SPF 30+ to 50+ hype.
Beat the heat with classic cool drinks that taste good and are essential for your health. Must-have drinks include classic coconut water, tangy raw mango drink (aam panna), buttermilk (chaas), and water. These drinks will cool your body and restore your electrolytes.
Summer makes you sweat like a fountain, so stay fresh by taking cool, minty showers every day. Taking two showers a day is the best way to stay cool and smell fresh.
Fill your wardrobe with cotton and linen in pastel colors. They give your skin space to breathe. Avoid dark colors because they absorb heat, whereas light colors reflect all wavelengths of sunlight.
Only step out when necessary; otherwise, enjoy your OTT platforms. Sunlight is intense from around 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In unavoidable situations, protect yourself with sunglasses, a scarf, an umbrella, or a hat. Don't forget to apply sunscreen, and carry a water bottle for hydration.
Lastly, be smart with your smartphone, as it can overheat, which can damage the battery. Keep it out of direct sunlight.
Don't let this summer cook you like crispy fries. Keep up with these cool hacks and stay cool in this unkind summer.
