Neeraj Chopra Sets New National Record With 89.30 Metre Javelin Throw

Kudos Neeraj Chopra. History has been scripted now and then. This young man has done exceptionally well with a remarkable passion this year at the Finland Pavo games once again.

India’s superstar javelin thrower  Neeraj Chopra again makes us proud again by setting a new national record of 89.30 meters at the Pavo Nurmi games in Finland. The earlier record was 88.07 meters in Patiala last year. This year he broke his own national record. Olympics gold with a throw of 87.58m on August 7, 2021. Neeraj Chopra is India's first-ever Olympic gold medallist in athletics and he is the second individual gold medallist at Olympics.

He had been away from home for six months. After six months of rigorous training, our talented, young, golden boy once again makes us proud. This new record makes him second in a star-studded field at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland

Finland's 25-year-old Oliver Helander, who has a personal best of 88.0 meters and a season-best of 80.36 meters was a surprise gold winner with the best throw of 89.83 meters which he made in his second attempt. Last year he created history by winning gold medal at Tokyo Olympic 2020.  He became the first track and field gold medalist who proudly represented India at Tokyo Olympics.
