4 Web Series Sequels We Are Waiting for in 2021

2020 has been a great year for Indian digital content. Not only did a lot of us have extra time to binge-watch our favorite shows, the content too got better and more progressive. As a result, we’re even winning International Emmys. When it comes to desi shows, there are a few series that made us realize the potential of Indian actors and storytellers. We’re desperately waiting for these shows to give us another iconic season in 2021.
1. ‘She’
Stories with strong female leads have always been our favorite, so could Aditi Pohankar’s ‘She’ be far behind? We loved the nuanced acting, the subtle yet powerful story and the sexual tension in every scene. Vijay Varma is a class apart.
2. ‘The Family Man’
Starring Manoj Bajpayee as Shrikant Tiwari, an intelligence officer, the story brings forward the duality of a man working on uncovering terrorist plots, while being a devoted family man. It shows the contrast so well and Manoj sir is so good, we’re wondering when the next season will air.
3. ‘Special OPS’
Kay Kay Menon plays Himmat Singh, a RAW agent on the trail of an anonymous terrorist after the 2001 Parliament attack. He plays the character as though he really is a RAW agent and for that, we cannot wait for another season.
4. ‘City of Dreams’
Set amidst the political backdrop of Maharashtra, the story revolves around the internal workings of the ruling Gaekwad family. Not only is this political drama very well made, it features Priya Bapat in the role of Poornima Gaekwad who deserves a special mention for the conviction in her acting.
