DAY TO NIGHT IN A FLASH
Turning day to night for photography is not so common, but Gavin Hoey shows how through different steps we can turn day into night for better photography.
Step 1 – UNDEREXPOSURE
Flash and manual mode go hand in hand, so it is suggested to switch over the manual.
Aperture – F/4
It will give a shot that is dark and not black.
Step 2 – FLASH
Set the flash meter to 1/80th sec, 200 ISO. Adjust the flash power until you hit f/4 on the meter.
Step 3 – MOONLIGHT
Switch to Tungsten or Incandescent white balance or it can be changed in Lightroom / Photoshop Camera RAW.
Step 4 – MIST
It helps to cover anything that is not needed in the background. You can use smoke grenades.
With these steps, you can easily turn day photography into night photography.
